The Pantanal is located in western central Brazil at the south-west corner of the State of Mato Grosso.
It contains the headwaters of the region’s two major river systems, the Cuiabá and the Paraguay rivers. The Pantanal offers a glorious abundance and diversity of vegetation and animal life. Spectacular views of wildlife, in particular the jaguar, draw visitors from all over the world.

10. The northern Pantanal has the highest density of jaguars in the world. Making it the best place to spot and photograph jaguars.
