Pantanal jaguar tours
Join us on a great adventure exploring the pantanal in search for the elusive jaguar on our pantanal jaguar tours. The pantanal holds the highest density of jaguars in the world, offering the best chances of coming across these incredible big cats of southern America.
Start location of the pantanal jaguar tours
All jaguar tours start from the city of Cuiaba or Poconé. Pantanal safaris will either pick you up at the airport or your hotel. After the pick-up we will drive over the Transpantaneira highway towards our destination Porto Jofre.
We offer different accommodations providing several options for all budgets and personal wishes.
Group- and private jaguar tours
Our group tours have a maximum of 10 people and the itinerary is fixed, whereas for the private tours all aspects can be tailor-made.
Duration of jaguar tours
Our jaguar tours have a minimum of 3 days, there is no maximum. We did a 50-day trip once already! We always suggest a 5 day trip in the prime jaguar season since from our experience that will almost guarantee multiple jaguar sightings.
Best time to plan a pantanal jaguar tour
The pantanal is one of the largest marshlands in the world and known for its seasonal changes. During the dry season (june-november) the waterlevel drops several meters. This is the prime season for a pantanal jaguar tour since the jaguar will come down to the riverbanks for drinking, hunting and mating.
Daily jaguar spotting
The best chances to come across the elusive jaguar is by boat. Each day we depart early from Porto Jofre by boat to the meeting of the waters state park in search for jaguars. On average we spend 10+ hours per day on the boat to get the best opportunities for jaguar sightings.
